a little about me...

While studying philosophy I found myself friends with folks in computer science. This was back in the stone ages of the internet, when companies hosted their content out of their closets. Some friends started a web hosting company and were kind enough to give me a job, during which I learned programming and systems administration. After that I spent several years as a programmer working with local activist and grass roots organizations on a large variety of projects. Eventually I found myself back to larger companies, working as a software developer for smaller tech companies and some larger retail companies. For the past 10 years I have worked in cloud-based tech companies first as a software developer and more recently as a manager. Throughout my career I have worked on both infrastructure and customer-facing applications.
